“17 Years, a Thousand Songs, and an Ol’ Blue Chair”

By Gregg (Bass Player, The Poets and Pirates)
Seventeen years. That's how long we've been chasing sunsets, salt air, and that unmistakable Kenny Chesney feeling across the country. What started as a few guys jamming in a garage and saying, "You know, we could actually do this," has become a full-blown journey of beaches, beer, bars, and a thousand memories we wouldn't trade for anything.
We've played weddings on the water, dive-bars in the middle of nowhere, and even a beach party where a parrot stole our drummer's sunglasses (still funny, still weird). One night in North Carolina, we were halfway through "No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems" when a power outage hit. What did we do? Shane kept singing acoustic while the crowd pulled out their phones for light—instant magic. That's the kind of stuff you can't rehearse, and you never forget.
At the center of this band is Shane, our lead vocalist and your stand-in Kenny. Let me tell you something: this guy feels the music. He's not up there pretending—he's living it. I've seen him tear up during "There Goes My Life" more than once (and not just because of the stage lights in his eyes). Shane's connection to Kenny's music is real—deep. Every show we play, you're getting more than just the sound. You're getting that same heart, that same soul.
All those barefoot anthems like "When the Sun Goes Down," and the intimate ballads like "You and Tequila," we pour everything into this. We're not just covering Kenny Chesney—we're celebrating what his music stands for: freedom, fun, nostalgia, and the simple moments that mean everything.
And after nearly two decades of touring, we've gotten pretty good at throwing a party. We bring the energy, the laid-back vibes—and yes, the ol blue chair. If you've ever caught us live, you know: we're not just a tribute band, we're fans out there living these songs again with you.
So whether you're booking a festival, a private event, or looking to turn your backyard into country infused beach party for a night—we're ready to roll. We’ll bring the songs and the show to you.
Come be part of the story. Let's make more memories.

Don't wait until the sun goes down.
See you out there, barefoot and loving every minute of it.
